Chateau CharMarron Peony Gardens
Chateau CharMarron Gardens is located in San Jose within the San Francisco Bay Area, high above Milpitas in the East Bay hills (approx. 4 miles from Nola's Iris Garden). They have more than 200 peony varieties under cultivation. Their bloom season begins in early April with tree peonies and continues from late April through early June with our herbaceous peonies. During April & May, garden visits are welcomed everyday: open 9am-6pm except Wednesday open 9am-noon. They are open in June: Fri-Sun or call for appointment.

AIS-American Iris Society The Mission of The American Iris Society is to organize and disseminate knowledge of the genus Iris, while fostering its preservation, enjoyment and continued development.

Reblooming Iris Society
The RIS was organized in 1967 and is a section of the American Iris Society devoted to promoting interest and development of all iris types having more than one bloom season per year.

Region 14 of AIS AIS is divided into regions. Region 14 is our local region consisting of California, Nevada and Hawaii. The region meets twice a year; Spring during bloom season with tours of local Iris gardens and again in the Fall with educational training.

Historic Iris Preservation Society The Society was created to help preserve our iris heritage by locating at risk irises and bringing them together with irisarians who want to grow and perpetuate them. Of equal importance is the establishment of an extensive collection of reference material relating to early iris history. HIPS is the common thread that binds together irisarians everywhere.
